About the production

AND CREATIVE TEAM

Don B. Bailey (Creator/Co-Playwright)  has been a driving force in making his dream of “Make Me A Cowboy” into a reality. He has definitely grown an affection towards this particular script. He is ever so thankful for the creative team that work so hard and share in his dreams. Sit back, sing-a-long, laugh and enjoy “Make Me A Cowboy - A New Western Musical Comedy”.

Shannon Sturgis (Co-Playwright)  has been fortunate enough to work in nearly every facet of theater. After enjoying success all across the U.S., she could not have been more honored than when Don asked for her input. He has a fresh new approach which simply soothes the stresses of modern day life by taking us back to a simpler time. Truly a treat!

Kevin Kurth (COMPOSER and ARRANGER) has musically directed over 60 shows. Kevin is a seasoned singer/actor/composer and arranger. He has appeared in the national Broadway tour of Pump Boys and Dinettes with the original Tony Award winning cast. Other roles include the Prince in “Cinderella” at Westport Playhouse, “Mike” in Oil City Symphony at the American Heartland Theatre in Kansas City, and “Sir Lionel” at Stages Saint Louis. Kevin has also appeared in several shows at the Muny in St. Louis, MO.     www.kmkmusic.com

Fran Ellison (Composer) is a native St. Louisan, (WGHS class of 73). When she is not teaching part-time for Parkway/Special School District, or working wardrobe crew for the Fox and the Muny (Local 805 I.A.T.S.E.), she is writing songs. Working on this play has offered an incredibly opportunity to create for theater. She hopes everyone enjoys the music. Ms. Ellison is a member of ASCAP.

Jane Godfrey (Composer) is a performing songwriter from St. Louis , Missouri . Jane’s songwriting skills were nurtured through songwriting workshops and performances at writers’ showcases such as the infamous Bluebird Café in Nashville .  Jane’s songs are included on the Girl Scouts of the USA CD, “Sisters Hand in Hand”; as well as on songwriter Gracie Vandiver’s recovery music CD, “Trail of Light”, alongside such songwriting greats as Paul Williams and Mary Gauthier.  In 2007 Jane released her own debut CD, “Choose Beauty”.  Jane is a member of ASCAP and NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International).
